We have been in operation for 10 years from 2 well equipped Dive Shops located at Bali Palms Resort and its sister Resort at Bali Seascape Beach Club.
Stay and Dive :- Our area is on the eastern tip of Bali, and offers a range of the renowned reefs, wrecks and underwater inhabitants of Bali’s Coral Triangle. On our doorstep are Mimpang and Tepekong Islands, famous for not only canyons and corals, but hundreds of species of fish, white and black-tipped reef sharks, turtles and the world-renowned ocean sunfish or Mola-Mola.
Bali Palms Resort and Bali Seascape Beach Club at Candidasa, offer a range of dive and accommodation packages designed to cater for both the novice and the experienced diver. Dive from either beach resort, located just a kilometer apart at either end of the beach town of Candidasa.
Less than 30-minutes away by boat are Blue Lagoon and Frangipani Point (Tanjung Jepun), home to beautiful coral slopes and some of the smaller “critters” that the Coral Triangle (encompassing much of Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines) is famous for. Both these sites are also perfectly suited to the less experienced
Just 50min drive away is a shipwreck often rated by dive magazines among the top-10 shipwreck sites in the world. Known as Tulamben, it is the location of the USA Liberty , torpedoed during World War Two and only 40 metres from the picturesque shore. The ship is 120 metres long and is a protected site that can be accessed by either snorkelers (the stern is only five metres from the surface) or divers, who can explore the bow and its coral-encrusted gun (30 metres deep) or the midsections of the ship, where 15 metres depth is suited to beginner divers. Shangrila Scuba Divers has been operating in these waters for over 10 years and conducting courses for both PADI and SSI qualifications. The Dive Company has its own dive boat and all dive equipment is maintained to a very high standard. We fill our own tanks from our in house compressor to ensure the cleanest possible air. Master Scuba Dive Instructor and Owner Graeme Birch emphasizes that the company motto is “safety first”. He and Balinese Dive Master, Wayan Darma (who has been diving in this area for 18 years and has logged more than 8,000 dives) offer everything from fun dives for already qualified divers, through to a four-hour “Discover Scuba Diving” excursion for beginners and many specialty courses including Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Dive Master Qualifications.
